Abdulwahab Mohammed has been named the Senior Special Assistant on Communication for Bala Mohammed, the governor of Bauchi State.
Mukhtar Gidado, the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, made the announcement in a statement on Friday.

The statement claims that Abdulwahab is a seasoned journalist who has previously worked for the Voice of America’s (VOA) Hausa Service.
The announcement said, “His appointment reflects Governor Bala Mohammed’s commitment to deepening government engagement with the public and strengthening the state’s communication machinery.”
He went on to say that Abdulwahab is supposed to support the advancement of good governance, raise public awareness, and assist in presenting the government’s objectives and operations.
The appointment is effective right away.
